The City of Alexandria's Tree lighting event will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at 6 PM in Market Square at City Hall in Old Town Alexandria, located at 301 King Street in Alexandria, Virginia. The City invites the community to join Mayor Alyia Gaskins and a host of holiday friends at the annual Tree lighting ceremony. Admission is free and the event will be held rain or shine. 

Tree Lighting is expected to occur sometime between 6:40 - 6:55 PM following the arrival of Santa by way of the King Street Trolley. After 7 PM, enjoy the start of the holiday season with music and merriment while Santa and Mrs. Claus walk the Square and visit with families until 8pm.

JW Marriott Residences Reston Station

I had the pleasure of attending the Grand Opening event of JW Marriott Residences Reston Station on November 6, 2025 (click here to view the video tour from my visit). It's a beautiful property with spacious floor plans, luxury Amenities, lovely City views and a prime location. These are 100% private residential Condo residences (not Condo Hotel Residences). I enjoyed touring the property and viewing the Model residences. I especially loved the 2,054 square foot 3-Bedroom corner Residence that I toured on the 15th floor and its wraparound Balcony.
